As one of the most diverse, small urban communities in Minnesota, Faribault has residents from all corners of the globe. River Bend Nature Center's Outdoor Diversity Initiatives program is a tapestry of culturally specific programs designed to eliminate the nature participation gap. At the center of these initiatives is a multi-year BIPOC conservation career training program we operate in partnership with Faribault Public Schools and the Minnesota Dept. of Employment and Economic Development that prepares BIPOC job seekers for gainful careers in conservation each year.
