River Bend Nature Center is a 501(c)3 non-profit, funded by generous donations from individuals and corporations that support our mission to "Help people discover, enjoy, understand, and preserve the incredible natural world that surrounds us."
Donations of any amount are greatly appreciated and go towards providing community programs for all people, restoring critical habitat for rare and endangered species, upgrading and repairing our trails and facilities and caring for our animal ambassadors.

Tribute Donations
We are surrounded by people who have made an impact in our lives. These are the people we think about in reflective moments, turn to for inspiration, and struggle to honor in some recognizable way. River Bend Nature Center serves as a way to pay tribute to many such people, both living and deceased, recognizing their contributions through memorials that support our environmental education initiatives at River Bend.
If you're looking for a permanent tribute, River Bend has a natural overlook on the Straight River that was constructed as a memorial and reflection location called Honor Point. The ground is in-laid with stone pavers that are engravable so individuals may honor loved ones in this special place. For more information, click on the Honor Point Button below.
