Cross Country Skiing and Snowshoeing

Thanks to dedicated volunteers, River Bend is known for some of the best groomed cross country ski trails in Southern Minnesota

  • Trails are packed for skiing and snowshoeing or hiking
  • About 7 miles of trails
  • Purchase a MN Ski Pass through the MN DNR
  • Snowshoe rentals available at River Bend, no skis at this time

Geocaching

The grounds of River Bend can hold many secrets...

  • Download the geocache app and create an account
  • Select a geocache to scout out
  • Navigate and search for the geocache
  • Congratulations, you found it! Sign the log book
  • Put it back where you found it

Geocaching Rules

  1. Minimize impact by staying on trail until you are within 60 feet of location. Geocaches are hidden within a few feet of a trail.
  2. If you take something from the geochache, leave something of the same value in its place.
  3. Replace geocache as found.
  4. Alert staff if geocache cannot be found or is empty.
  5. Individuals must ask for permission from River Bend staff before placing any new geocaches.

Furry Friends

Bring your loved furry friend out for a stroll...River Bend is a dog friendly place

  • Please keep your dog on a leash to prevent chasing of wildlife
  • Please pick up after your dog and through waste in the trash bins
