Volunteer at River Bend Nature Center
From one time opportunities to ongoing projects, there are openings for many interests and ages. You could be a volunteer naturalist, do natural resource work or be a building host. Here at River Bend, you’ll find many ways to give back, and feel good doing it.

Come learn about what biochar is, how it's created, and why River Bend has decided to use this as another sustainability method. Then, weather permitting, try your hand at creating biochar.

Nature Center Host - Typically need help on Saturdays 10am-2pm
Volunteer at the front desk to greet visitors, answer questions and help with the gift shop.
Volunteer Naturalist - Assist in teaching our nature classes and supporting our staff on school field trips. Programs typically run Monday-Friday 8:00-2:30 pm. Individual program length is 1 1/2 - 2 hours.
